We'll see if the others are as gentle?

Maybe it's an accumulated lifetime dose of 1385 millrem of ionizing radiation that makes me incapable of enjoying BOR?

I suppose I'll back off a skosh and say that it's less that I don't like the song at all and more that the song does nothing for me - there's no resonance at all and nothing to keep me listening.

But hey, at least it doesn't get the heave ho skip button treatment like others.

Ha--hey, we also have "snafu" appearing below, so all my Navy knowledge is being put to use (I learned all these terms when the friend I mentioned from HS came home for Christmas from USNA...they were new to me in 1975. Have to love them: the best was he brought be a pair of blue NAVY gym shorts--just that word in yellow--which I wore for a yr or two in league play [b-ball]. The best compliment I got was after an extremely rough game, involving stiches, and "us" winning, the losers walked off, one saying to another "well, THAT's Navy ball for ya"...I was quite proud to have been labeled the instrument of such).

So, to echo elb, give a listen to RHunter's version of BoR and though his voice is an acquired taste, it comes off as a much more poignant song, IMHO. Same for Franklin's Tower as elb notes.
